Catherine's
House sleeps 3
In the quiet village of
Saint Saturnin (population 248), our friend Catherine's little
gem of a house has just been stylishly renovated to bring
it right up-to-date after being empty for several years.
Built in the early eighteen hundreds and in her family for
generations, now you too can have the pleasure of staying
in it to explore one of the most beautiful yet least known
parts of France.
The front door opens into a spacious living room with massive
traditional hearth, neat little kitchen/breakfast bar with
cooker and dishwasher, and winding stairs
leading up to a bedroom with double bed, a small sitting room, shower room and
separate WC. There is full oil-fired central heating throughout.
Sit in the small front courtyard, drink in the sights and sounds of the village
(such as they are!), the trickling of the little fountain and enjoy a glass of
wine. If you're walkers, St Saturnin lies on national footpath GR4 which runs
from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. There is also a simple restaurant in
village (for other restaurants, see http://www.auvergnehols.co.uk/VisitorEatingOut.htmll) |

Catherine's
house is available when our own houses are full. To
book, or for any further information, either e-mail
or phone me, or if you prefer & speak
fluent French, call Catherine's husband, Jean-Pierre PLANTECOSTE, who
deals
with such matters, on 00334 7178 5279.
Like
my own houses, it is stylish, spotlessly clean, has
a patio table and chairs, sunshade and barbecue.
There's lots of information in English so you get
the most from your holiday. The comfy bed will be
made up for your arrival (bed linen & towels
are all provided). What more could you need for a
relaxing holiday? |

We've had a wonderful holiday. The house is fantastic as is the village and area
around. Thank you also for the wine!

Thank you very much for our stay in your beautiful little house. We truly enjoyed
it, the fire at night, having a meal at the little table while watching
life
go by, indeed, very peaceful.
Sincerely,
Josie & Ken, Australia
Our only regret is that we did not have time to visit you for an aperitif,
but I don't want to leave without writing to tell you how much we enjoyed our
stay in your pretty house, despite the weather! - and that we shall come back.
